Dear Customers,

We want to provide clear details on how new U.S. customs regulations are affecting our operations. As of August 29, 2025, changes at the border have created uncertainty for shipments that previously moved quickly under the de minimis exemption.

To protect your experience and avoid unpredictable shipping issues, we’ve made the following adjustments:

What’s Out of Stock

The majority of our catalog is now shown as “Out of Stock.” These products currently cannot be shipped until a new process for cross-border clearance is confirmed.

What Remains Available

Products that are exempt under the CUSMA trade agreement remain in stock. However, please note:

  • Additional customs documentation is now required.

  • This paperwork is not yet fully streamlined with our couriers.

  • As a result, these items will ship with delays, with our next expected shipping date on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

What We’re Doing

  • Working with our courier partners to put the new documentation procedures in place.

  • Prioritizing CUSMA-exempt items so they can continue to reach you, even with temporary delays.

  • Monitoring regulatory updates daily to re-open the rest of our catalog as soon as possible.

What This Means for You

  • Most items will temporarily appear unavailable for purchase.

  • A select group of CUSMA-exempt products remain available but will ship later than usual.

  • We’ll post updates regularly to keep you informed as the situation develops.

Thank You for Your Patience

We understand how disruptive this may be and we’re committed to restoring normal operations as quickly as possible. By pausing some products and being upfront about delays, we aim to give you clarity and confidence when shopping with us.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we work through these changes together.

Important updates about US import tariffs and how they may affect your order

Recent Changes: Due to recent changes in US import regulations, products manufactured in China are now subject to a 30% tariff rate collected by the courier upon delivery.

How Import Tariffs Work

When products are imported into the United States from certain countries, US Customs may impose tariffs (import taxes) that must be paid before the items can be delivered.

These tariffs are not collected by us at the time of purchase, but rather by the delivery courier when your package arrives. The rates and enforcement of these tariffs can change frequently based on international trade policies.

Current Tariff Rates:

Country of Origin Current Tariff Rate Notes
China 30% Applied to all products regardless of order value
Taiwan 10% Only applied to orders over $800 USD
Canada 0% No tariffs on Canadian-made products (including WRD brand kits and flagship products)
Other Countries Varies May apply to orders over $800 USD

How We Handle Tariffs

Transparency

We display the country of origin for all products and provide estimates of potential tariff charges to help you make informed purchasing decisions.

Processing Fee

For orders containing both Chinese and non-Chinese products, we add a $10 processing surcharge to cover the additional administrative costs of managing split shipments.

Important Delivery Information

When your package arrives, the courier may request payment for import tariffs before delivering your items. These charges are separate from what you paid at checkout and go directly to US Customs.

Please note: If you refuse the shipment due to tariff charges, we cannot refund the original shipping costs or any tariff processing fees that were applied to your order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tariffs are import taxes imposed by the US government on certain foreign-made products. These are not fees we charge or profit from.

Tariffs are mandatory for applicable products shipping to the US. You can check the country of origin before purchasing to make informed decisions. Products made in Canada (like our WRD brand kits) are not subject to tariffs.

When orders contain both Chinese and non-Chinese products, we must process them separately to manage different tariff requirements, resulting in additional handling costs.

If you refuse a shipment when the courier attempts delivery, we cannot refund your original shipping costs or any tariff processing fees.

No. The estimates we provide are based on current rates, but actual charges are determined by customs officials at the time of import.
